Comment
An aspiring dancer meets a sailor and falls in love with him, but when he rescues the dog of a famous actress, she also falls in love with him. Eleanor Powell is good in the lead as she tap dances her way through several musical numbers. In an early film of his, James Stewart sings and dances. There is good support from Virginia Bruce and Una Merkel. Thre are some good comic scenes and lines, but the best parts are the Cole Porter musical numbers (Easy To Love, I've Got You Under My Skin) and the final dance routine (Swingin The Jinx Away) which received an Oscar nimination.
